July 2013 Idaho visit

We headed to Idaho to celebrate Grandpa Zollingers 90th birthday.   We had hoped to swim in the canal since my kids had never swum in a canal but unfortunately the city had put chemicals in the water to kill the weeds. So we contented ourselves with visiting Rick's College (now BYU Idaho) and showing our kids where we lived and fell in love.  And then of course as you can see below, we hiked the butte (old volcanos).  Vienna screamed the whole way down because she wanted to go by herself but it is very slippery. Thanks William for taking her!

Grandpa's birthday party in Roberts, ID.  He had many friends and neighbors come.  What a happy, lucky guy.  He is an example to all of us to be grateful and happy with whatever circumstances we are in.

Someone brought water balloons and my kids were busy for hours!

Definitely one of the highlights of the trip was that Kara (William's cousin) had her kids get their horses out and everyone got to ride.  The kids loved it, and Aaramie stayed on for a long time and didn't want to get off.  She didn't hike and stayed with the horses instead.

It was so good for my kids to get to know Ryan and Alisha's kids!

William was a little nervous.  He had not had a horse be good for him but was very happy and surprised to find this horse very good.
